TPF Internals

Overview
This 5 day course is designed to give experienced TPF programmers a more detailed understanding of the internal workings of a TPF System.  This course can be customised to your requirements to include detailed information about TPFDF and ISOC if required.

Pre-requisites
Attendees should have a good understanding of Assembler programming.

Audience
TPF Programmers who require a better understanding of the internal processing of TPF.

Student Numbers
The maximum recommended student to instructor ratio is 12:1

Objectives
By the end of the course, the delegates will be able, with the aid of course notes to:

  • Understand the different system configurations available to a TPF System
  • Identify the major Lists in the CPU Loop and their usage
  • Understand the management of the TPF Database
  • Understand how DAT works in SVA and EVA
  • List the usage of utilities such as Recoup, PDU, Capture/Restore
  • Understand the processing flow of TPF.
